Once upon a time, her name was Hikari and she was pure and pious and good. She knew only love and kindness. She attended church with her mother and she prayed to her Lord for redemption. She journeyed across the region delivering salvation and hope. She gained followers. She found enemies. She vanquished foul beasts─or so she thought.She was her Lord's chosen, virtue in human form, and meant to return to His side at the end of her battle.
But what is Virtue without Vice?

It was once banished for its violence, but that was long ago. Long enough for the beast to find its passages, and through those passages, her. It found her long before her journey began. It followed her. It amused the whims of that wretched mortal only to see her again. How could it not, with that heavenly glow outlining her form in such a way? She was favored by the Lord, that much was certain, which only heightened the beast's attraction. She was its beacon. She was its possession.One was Virtue, the other Vice.
Neither Man nor God nor Death may keep the two apart.
The sight of her, of Arceus' Chosen laying near lifeless on the ledge, brought the strangest feeling to the surface of the Renegade's mind. Was it sadness? Love? Simple intrigue? No, none of that. It saw a hope of its own.The girl, Hikari, was always meant to return to the side of The Original One when her battle ended. Such was how He wanted it. But now, here in this distorted world, a place not even Arceus Himself would dare step foot, the beast held all power. Here, Giratina was God, and a spiteful god It was. It would keep His most beloved creation from eternal paradise. In fact, It would corrupt that creation so fully, damn her to such a foul degree that He might think twice before loving a human with such ferocity. She will be the last of Arceus' Chosen.Love. Such a silly, human concept. To think the Almighty would stoop so low.Waste not a moment more. The beast dove headfirst into the heart of the girl. Light poured from her body to make way for Its wretched self and in the dark blink of an eye, It was gone. The Galactic man turned his head back.Twitch of a finger.
